The South Dakota District has 8 program areas for support and resources for congregations.  the objectives of those program areas are as follows:

1. Evangelism - share with the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ

2. Missions - reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ

3. Rural Ministry - lend support and resources for rural and small town parishes

4. Education - providing workshops and resources for spiritual growth

5. Campus Ministry - lend support and resources for serving LCMS students and reaching the lost on our SD campuses

6. Human Care - provide resources and ministry for physical, mental, and emotional needs

7. Stewardship - provide support and resources for teaching God's people that every aspect of life is a gift from God to use for the good of His people and His glory

8. Youth - provide support and resources for youth and their leaders
