Bible Bowl F.A.Q. What is Bible Bowl? Bible Bowl is a quiz bowl competition for the youth of the South Dakota District. When and where does Bible Bowl take place? In recent years Bible Bowl competition has been held on either the last Saturday in March or the first Saturday in April. For the last two years Faith Lutheran Church in Pierre has hosted the Bible Bowl. Who may participate? All members of Missouri Synod congregations from 7th-12th grades are eligible to participate in Bible Bowl. What will the questions consist of? Every fall a new Bible Bowl topic is announced for the Spring competition. A book (or books) of the Bible usually serve as the topic. Sections of the Small Catechism have also been chosen as topics in the past. How many people are needed for a team? A minimum of three youth are needed for a team. No more than four team members can play in any given game. Teams may consist of more 6than four members, but substitutions must take place between (not during) games. What does a game consist of? A game consists of 15 questions. Correct answers are worth ten points. three points are deducted for every incorrect answer that is given. Whichever team has the most points at the end of 15 questions is the winner.
