Human Care Ministries Program Area This committee's official synodical name is LCMS World Relief/Human Care. District guidelines say the committee "shall serve as a resource for social issues that affect the lives of individuals and congregations in the SD District." The mission of the Church through LCMS World Relief and Human Care is to reach out in mercy and compassion to those in need, in the clear name of Christ and his gospel, and according the beautiful Lutheran Confession of the faith. Look for information from the HCC in each issue of the SD District Newsletter and occasionally in the SD pages of the Lutheran Witness.
